Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean to live life unencumbered?
It means you're living in a state of power, purpose and positivity.

You know that feeling that you have when you wake up refreshed, energized and ready to conquer your day? That's it. Not familiar with the feeling? Let's get you there.
How do we work together?
As your life coach, I’m here to help you work through challenges, set goals, and ultimately achieve your best. I help with personal and career related milestones and I help you develop a new perspective so that you can reframe your way to your success as you define it.

We’ll start with a 30-minute phone consultation so that I can more deeply understand where you are in your life and what you’re looking to solve for. As a part of our initial consultation, we’ll coauthor a fun approach that suits your goals.
If you'd prefer to skip the consultation and jump right in, please reach out directly to cally@callybruce.com.
Whether by phone, video conference, email, or text: I’m here for you.
Will my boss, colleagues or friends know we are working together?
Only if you tell them! As your strategist, the work we do together is strictly confidential.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
As your life coach, whether career or personally related, I will help you to approach your daily life differently by setting goals, finding your superpowers, tackling hard-to-conquer projects, living with optimism, optimal time management, and more.

I'll help you to augment your perspective so that you can shift your mindset and thereby improve your way of doing and seeing things.
Unlike a therapist, I do not focus on traditional mental health and the work we do is forward looking as opposed to delving into historical patterns.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of coaching sessions you'll need is dependent on the goals you're looking to achieve. The initial consultation is a good place to start so that we can work together to co-author a go forward plan.
You may only need one session, or you may prefer to have multiple sessions. It's really up to you and what you're looking to accomplish.
Do you offer group sessions?
Yes. You can schedule a group session. Group sessions are available for companies, in academic settings and in personal settings.
Can't I just read a self-help book?
Self-help books are fantastic resources to learn about new strategies and to remind us of important considerations, but they are not a replacement for working in partnership with another person who is devoted to keeping you on track.
Much like when you go to a gym, and you really want to see results, you don't simply hop on the treadmill and ignore all of the other equipment. Instead, in order to see long-lasting results, you have to consistently engage your muscles and use the tools properly. Personal trainers help you to understand which equipment to use, when, and for how long. Likewise, they keep you accountable and ensure you're staying on track.

Much the same, you can think of me as your life, or career, personal trainer. I am here to teach you new tools for your toolkit, to keep you accountable, to help you with goal setting and reaching, and to side-by-side ensure you're achieving optimal results.
While books are amazing and I absolutely love them, they are one-dimensional and can therefore only really take you so far for so long.
